Electrical Systems Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for complex semiconductor and industrial manufacturing equipment. The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical system architecture, power distribution, controls, equipment safety, and regulatory compliance, as well as proven people‑management experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and qualification of electrical systems and subsystems for complex semiconductor and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Direct creation and modification of electrical assemblies, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure delivery of engineering commitments.
• Lead cross‑functional programs from concept through qualification, partnering with mechanical, controls, software, safety, manufacturing, and supply‑chain teams.
• Provide technical direction for power distribution, switchgear, circuit protection, sensors, controllers, and safety interlocks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in electrical systems engineering and product development.
• Prior experience as an engineering manager or people leader with responsibility for team performance and delivery.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary, globally distributed engineering teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong background in semiconductor or industrial equipment design and integration.

Required skills

• Electrical system architecture and power distribution design.
• Switchgear, circuit protection devices, sensors, controllers, power supplies, and safety interlocks.
• Knowledge of standards: NFPA 70, NFPA 79, SEMI S2, SEMI S8, SEMI F47, UL 508A.
• Industrial communication protocols: RS‑232, RS‑485, EtherCAT, Industrial Ethernet.
• Electrical design tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical.
