Electrical Safety Engineer – Wichita, KS

About the role

Bosch is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer for its plants in Norman and Wichita, Kansas. The role ensures compliance with safety, environmental and electrical standards, supporting plant teams with technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support equipment assessments according to Bosch internal standards.
• Perform onsite and online electrical safety trainings.
• Assist with inspections of new equipment installations.
• Update one‑line drawings in engineering software.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA and other electrical regulations.
• Provide recommendations for electrical safety improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of hand tools, machine tools, troubleshooting, measuring and leveling devices.
• Work with servo, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and robotic systems.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics or a related field.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 HSE standards.
• Experience reading blueprints, electrical schematics and one‑line drawings.
• Understanding of AC/DC circuits, motor wiring, PLC control wiring and machine wiring codes.
• Ability to use hand and machine tools, troubleshoot equipment, and perform measurements.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety regulations.
