Electrical or Mechanical Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering for semiconductor and display manufacturing, is seeking an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to support its plasma and thermal chamber services. The engineer will collaborate with customers, field teams and R&D to identify service value, improve hardware performance and prototype new solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with customers, field team and R&D to identify service value for plasma tools.
• Identify required changes to improve hardware performance.
• Partner with engineering teams and vendors to prototype and test hardware.
• Design experiments, collect data, analyze results and compile engineering reports.
• Generate marketing reports that demonstrate value to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, plasma or a related field.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Problem solving and root‑cause mechanism development.
• Technical presentation and communication.
• Plasma experience (plus).
• Semiconductor experience (plus).
• Hardware development experience (plus).
