Electrical Engineering Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical Design team for its Commercial Aircraft business in Buffalo, NY. In this position you will organize, allocate, and motivate resources to deliver high‑quality engineering work while aligning with EVMS schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage technology development of a multi‑disciplinary engineering staff across concurrent programs.
• Create a collaborative innovation environment to meet challenging development objectives.
• Perform direct employee management functions including hiring, training, resource allocation, supervision, and performance reviews.
• Analyze and communicate design‑process performance using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methods.
• Identify strategic and budgetary control opportunities related to engineering estimates, lifecycle performance, and development risk.
• Develop and mature design‑process standards, templates, specifications, and automation to increase consistency and efficiency.
• Drive the commercial obsolescence refresh strategy for all electronics.
• Travel 10‑15% domestically and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering management.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.
• Experience with resource management and EVMS scheduling.
