Electrical Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead commissioning, project execution and operational readiness for our expanding semiconductor manufacturing facility in Roseville, California. The role focuses on integrating new and upgraded electrical systems while ensuring continuous fab operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning for facility upgrades, expansions, and new tool installations.
• Develop commissioning plans and validation protocols to meet design and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure timely energization and successful handoff.
• Author, review, and approve electrical project scopes of work, switching/LOTO schedules, and outage plans.
• Create and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Manage electrical change orders, submittals, and RFIs throughout project execution.
• Provide electrical engineering support across the project lifecycle, including new fab construction, expansions, and tool installations.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, SEMI standards, corporate specifications, and power‑quality requirements.
• Validate voltage, current, grounding, and harmonic performance for new tool hook‑ups.
• Apply load‑shedding and restoration strategies to minimize risk during planned and unplanned outages.
• Champion electrical safety, especially during medium‑voltage (up to 12 kV) energization and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with medium‑voltage electrical systems up to 12 kV.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects safely and efficiently in a high‑demand semiconductor environment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and SEMI standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
