Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings that advance Applied Materials' semiconductor and display equipment. Using technical expertise and critical thinking, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases.

Key responsibilities

• Implement concepts for complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scope.
• Design or modify electrical/electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings/specifications.
• Perform engineering analysis and generate test reports with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot a variety of complex electrical problems in lab and customer fab environments.
• Lead or execute engineering projects, coordinating with key suppliers and defining test plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Background in power distribution and power quality preferred.
• Knowledge of standards such as NFPA70, NFPA79, SEMI S2, S22, F47, UL508A.

Required skills

• Power distribution design.
• Power control design and applications.
• Electrical schematics and layout creation.
• Familiarity with NFPA70, NFPA79, SEMI S2, S22, F47, UL508A standards.
• Troubleshooting of major electrical components used in power distribution.
