Electrical Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials designs and builds cutting‑edge equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. As an Electrical Engineer III you will create, modify, and troubleshoot complex electrical assemblies that enable next‑generation technology. You will work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical and electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, drawings, or specifications of difficult scope.
• Identify and troubleshoot a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports.
• Perform engineering analysis of challenging projects and lead technical execution.
• Develop key supplier relationships and lead small engineering projects.
• Generate product specifications and review engineering documentation.
• Mentor junior colleagues and lead project teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4‑7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and how your expertise integrates with other functions (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects (preferred).
