Electrical Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic assemblies that support cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment. You will apply engineering analysis, generate test reports, and create documentation for product releases while coordinating component procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, drawings, or specifications of difficult scope.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports.
• Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope.
• Technically lead or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers.
• Implement concepts for complex product issues and electrical solutions.
• Generate electrical product specifications and review engineering documentation.
• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and lead project teams as needed.
• Clearly communicate difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in a related engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices, key business drivers, competition, and integration with other domains.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects.
