Electrical Controls Engineer

About the role

MNA is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to support engineering design from concept through completion for a variety of client projects in sectors such as education, biopharma, and industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical control designs that meet engineering standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Translate requirements into detailed logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single‑line schematics, and P&IDs.
• Prepare drawings, technical specifications, bill‑of‑materials and visual aids for internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) on electrical equipment and installations.
• Execute preventative maintenance plans, calibrate gas and flame sensors, and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues on‑site.
• Assist with installation of control panels and devices, and document test results.
• Maintain safety compliance, communicate progress to supervisors, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel up to 30% with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience developing client relationships and working in multidisciplinary teams.
