Elastomer Grinding Operator

About the role

3M is seeking an Elastomer Grinding Operator to join its Hebron, KY manufacturing plant. In this hands‑on position you will operate grinding equipment, support production goals, and collaborate with a global team of innovators.

Key responsibilities

• Operate elastomer grinding and related manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and Lean Manufacturing projects.
• Troubleshoot process issues and assist engineering in problem‑solving.
• Identify and suggest process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED (completed before start date).
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) and/or forklift operation.
• Operation of grinding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with Kaizen or other continuous‑improvement methodologies.
