EFNEP Program Assistant

About the role

The EFNEP Program Assistant supports the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program within an assigned county Extension office. Working under the supervision of a county Extension Agent, the role focuses on community outreach and nutrition education for families with limited resources.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit participants for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in the assigned county.
• Deliver nutrition education workshops and one‑on‑one counseling to families with limited resources.
• Assist the county Extension Agent with program planning, record‑keeping, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate outreach activities and maintain communication with community partners.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to comply with the University’s Youth Protection policy and related child‑abuse reporting requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse families and community members.
