Educational Aide – Anatomy & Physiology Open Lab

About the role

This part‑time position supports the Anatomy & Physiology Open Lab at Georgia Technical College. The Educational Aide assists students, enforces lab policies, and helps the coordinator maintain a safe, organized learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with learning in the Anatomy & Physiology open lab (approximately 75% of time).
• Support the Open Lab Coordinator with lab maintenance, organization and safety compliance (≈10%).
• Help set up and break down lab activities and assessments (≈5%).
• Enforce lab policies and emergency procedures (≈2.5%).
• Communicate student issues to the coordinator or faculty (≈2.5%).
• Perform other duties as required by the General Education Division.

Required profile

• Completed college‑level Anatomy and Physiology I and II courses.
• Preferably earned at Gwinnett Technical College with a grade of B or higher.
• Approachable personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and follow supervisor feedback.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology I & II material.
• Effective teaching/tutoring abilities.
• Capability to supervise and guide students in a lab environment.
