Education Architect

About the role

NORR is seeking an Education Architect to design flexible, sustainable, and inclusive learning environments for schools and higher‑education institutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality architectural solutions that support positive learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze project requirements from reports and published documents.
• Develop architectural designs that meet quality, budget, and timeline constraints.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, interior, and other discipline teams.
• Integrate engineering requirements, site surveys, and field review data while adhering to codes and jurisdictional standards.
• Prepare design reports, drawings, and 3D models following office standards.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and address deviations with owners and contractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in architectural design for educational facilities.
• Ability to create design solutions that balance context, budget, and aesthetic goals.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with diverse professional disciplines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Detroit or Philadelphia for meetings and site visits.
