EDM Machinist I - 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an EDM Machinist I for the 2nd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will produce high‑precision components for mission‑critical aerospace and defense programs such as the F‑35, MQ‑25, and FLRAA.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, process instructions, and verbal directions to fabricate parts.
• After training, operate Sinker or Wire EDM machines to create complex components.
• Inspect finished work using a variety of precision measuring equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a general machinist.
• Demonstrated ability to follow escalation procedures in machining.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Enrollment in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program as required by FAA safety‑sensitive regulations.
