About the role
The Economic Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting of continuing education and customized workforce training programs across all Wiregrass Georgia Technical College campuses. The role also manages registration systems and logistics for the college’s mobile training labs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and implementing continuing education classes, including driver’s education and open‑enrollment programs.
- Coordinate instructors, facilities, equipment, supplies, participant communications, registrations, and class records.
- Support customized contract training for businesses, government agencies, and community partners, handling dates, locations, rosters, materials, and employer communications.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in Destiny One, Modern Campus, and related systems; prepare reports on enrollment, contact hours, completions, revenue, and training activity.
- Manage logistics for mobile training labs, including travel, equipment setup, and deployment calendars.
- Assist with proposals, instructor agreements, purchasing, invoicing, evaluations, certificates, and program documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from participants, instructors, employers, and campus personnel; support marketing, special events, camps, and workforce initiatives.
- Travel to campuses, employer locations, and training sites as needed.
Required profile
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑service abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple programs, locations, schedules, and deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new registration/reporting systems.
- Effective collaboration with instructors, students, employers, and college staff.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends and travel throughout the service area.
