Economic Analyst I/II, Regional Analysis Group

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an Economic Analyst I or II to join its Regional Analysis Group. In this position you will translate data‑driven insights into policy‑relevant analysis that directly informs the Bank President’s contributions to the Federal Open Market Committee and the Beige Book.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and answer research questions that matter to policymakers and the public.
• Design and execute innovative research methodologies to explore complex economic issues.
• Collect, clean, and wrangle diverse regional and national datasets.
• Conduct rigorous statistical and econometric analyses.
• Prepare briefing materials, FOMC presentations, and Beige Book contributions.
• Translate technical findings into clear narratives for policymakers, business leaders, and the public.
• Collaborate on research projects from conception through publication, increasing independence with experience.
