Early Outreach Coordinator

About the role

The Early Outreach Initiative Coordinator supports Georgetown University Law Center’s mission to broaden access to legal education. This seasonal, part‑time role engages high‑school students through presentations, panel discussions, and relationship‑building activities, inspiring the next generation of legal professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and moderate panel discussions featuring attorneys, law students, alumni, faculty, and other legal professionals.
• Build and maintain relationships with school counselors, educators, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Deliver presentations and facilitate outreach activities in schools and community settings.
• Communicate with prospective participants and partners via email, phone, and in‑person to coordinate programming and respond to inquiries.
• Support the planning and execution of outreach programs designed to increase awareness of legal careers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred.
• Experience in admissions, higher education, community engagement, youth development, outreach, or public service.
• Excellent public speaking, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, educators, and community partners.
• Strong organizational and project‑coordination skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends.
