Early Head Start Teacher

About the role

The Early Head Start Teacher works in a classroom serving infants and toddlers, designing and delivering individualized and group learning experiences that support social‑emotional, physical, and cognitive development. You will collaborate with a co‑teacher, program aides, and volunteers while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that promote all developmental areas and preschool readiness.
• Guide daily classroom activities, field trips, and set up a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Conduct parent conferences and home visits to discuss child progress and support family engagement.
• Maintain accurate records on paper and in designated online systems, ensuring confidentiality.
• Observe, assess, and document child development through screenings and portfolios.

Required profile
