Early Childhood Student Services Coordinator

About the role
The Early Childhood Student Services Coordinator supports the Douglas Family Early Childhood Center by coordinating individualized student support, developing Student Action Plans, and partnering with parents, teachers, and specialists. This exempt, full‑time position reports to the Director of Student Services and ensures that toddlers through pre‑K students receive tailored social, emotional, and developmental assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with educators and the student support team to address student needs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for parents/guardians, communicating with care and compassion.
- Implement restorative, developmentally appropriate conflict‑resolution strategies.
- Assist teachers in conveying clear observations and developmental expectations to families.
- Maintain effective relationships with staff, external therapists, and medical professionals.
- Partner with the K‑8 School Counselor and Director of Student Services as needed.
- Respond promptly to communications from various school constituencies.
Required profile
- Experience working with early‑childhood students (Toddler to Pre‑K).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and monitor individualized Student Action Plans.
- Comfort collaborating with parents, teachers, and external specialists.
- Knowledge of child development and holistic support practices.
