Early Childhood Staff for Ch'anik'na Program

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic staff members to join Ch'anik'na, a culturally‑focused early childhood program serving children from birth to kindergarten entry in Seldovia. The role involves supervising children, delivering curriculum‑based activities, and supporting a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children of all ages, from newborns onward, in daily classroom activities.
• Implement scheduled curriculum, including circle time, crafts, snack preparation, and outdoor play.
• Conduct drop‑off procedures such as temperature checks and hand‑washing.
• Assist with personal care needs, including diaper changes and potty training, and record activities in the daily log.
• Maintain cleaning and infection‑control protocols and adhere to SVT safety regulations.
• Support field trips and special events like Science Fridays.
• Participate in team meetings and organization‑wide initiatives as required.
