Early Childhood Education Specialist

About the role

The Early Childhood Education Specialist will support the implementation of early childhood and family‑focused programs that promote school readiness, family engagement, and access to services for young children in the Phoenix area.

Key responsibilities

• Implement early childhood education programming that enhances childcare access, school readiness, and family well‑being.
• Assist families in accessing childcare assistance, enrolling in services, and overcoming participation barriers.
• Connect families with Head Start, Early Head Start, preschool, and English Language Learning opportunities.
• Facilitate orientations on local resources, school systems, child welfare laws, parenting, and community integration.
• Collaborate with childcare providers, educators, and community partners to support school readiness and family engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, social work, psychology, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in early childhood education or human services.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and build positive relationships.
• Strong communication, organization, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Fluent English; bilingual ability in a language spoken by the local refugee population is a plus.
