Early Career TPS Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an early‑career TPS Engineer to provide systems support for engineering and reliability labs in Santa Clara. The role bridges customers, factories, and engineering owners, delivering technical assistance, documentation, and performance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide systems support for engineering applications and reliability laboratories.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on assigned projects.
• Act as technical liaison between customers and factory, assisting field engineers and technicians with troubleshooting and debugging.
• Deliver Beta Site Support for installation, calibration, operation, and testing of new hardware, software, or processes.
• Present system performance data, including uptime, MTBF, MTBI, and availability metrics.
• Generate and review documentation such as CENs, BKMs, technical improvements, and support plans.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in engineering discipline with a willingness to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily work.
• Ability to solve straightforward technical problems using experience and judgment.
• Effective communication of complex information to peers and customers.
