Early Career Intern - Accounting

About the role

Join Invesco’s Global Business Services team for a 9‑week summer internship focused on accounting and reporting across North America and EMEA. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to public company SEC filings, audit support, and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with accounting for North America and EMEA expenses.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and perform account analysis using general ledger applications.
• Support Accounts Receivable processes, including payment tracking and reconciliation.
• Contribute to SEC reporting (10‑Q, 10‑K, 8‑K) and SOX control documentation.
• Monitor daily share transactions, prepare wire transfers, and support expense reimbursement reporting.
• Facilitate internal and external audits and respond to ad‑hoc requests.
• Compile data for accrual reviews during month‑end and quarter‑end close.
• Support quarterly metrics reporting and process improvement projects.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Interest in financial reporting, compliance, and audit processes.

Required skills

• Experience with general ledger applications.
• Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with SOX controls.
