About the role

As an Early Career AI Software Engineer at Notion, you will help shape core user experiences and accelerate the discovery of value in the platform. You will work on cutting‑edge AI‑powered features, leveraging large language models, embeddings, and related technologies to make Notion more intelligent. This role offers the chance to own meaningful projects and collaborate with design, product, and data experts.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with your team to prototype and ship AI‑powered product improvements.
• Own a scoped productionisation project, integrating new models or techniques, adding monitoring, guardrails, and improving latency, cost, or reliability.
• Contribute to evaluation and iteration loops by building or extending evaluation sets, running experiments, analysing results, and translating learnings into product or system changes.

Required profile

• Less than two years of engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Customer‑mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Enthusiasm for building and iterating quickly, with an interest in AI/ML.
