Dual Language Teacher – Grade 2

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Dual Language Teacher for Grade 2 to deliver high‑quality instruction in a bilingual environment. The successful candidate will work with young learners, fostering both academic growth and language development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in both English and a second language for Grade 2 students.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive bilingual program.
• Maintain classroom records, attendance, and communication with families.

Required profile

• Valid Teacher of Preschool Through Grade 3 certificate OR Elementary School Teacher (Grades K‑6) certificate.
• One of the following additional certifications: Teacher of English as a Second Language, Teacher of Spanish, or Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering instruction in two languages.
• Ability to design engaging, age‑appropriate lesson plans.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

What we offer

• Salary range $63,201 – $104,070 per year, as per NBEA contract (pending budget approval).
