Dual Credit Coordinator – English Programs

About the role

The Dual Credit Coordinator (English) supports Saint Louis University’s historic 1818 Advanced College Credit Program, linking high‑school English faculty with SLU resources. Reporting to the 1818 Program Director, the coordinator works closely with English Department faculty liaisons to ensure high‑quality instruction for dual‑credit students.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom observation visits across local, regional, and out‑of‑state partner schools.
• Share observation feedback with faculty liaisons to aid performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with liaisons on professional development and academic quality for English teachers.
• Coordinate review of new faculty applications and communicate results promptly.
• Review and communicate feedback on 1818 course syllabi as requested.
• Maintain records of syllabi, evaluations, and professional development for all English faculty.
• Serve as program ambassador during site visits and information sessions.
• Participate in strategic planning and English Department events.
• Teach one section of an English course every three academic years when feasible.

Required profile

• Experience in academic coordination or related higher‑education support roles.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly for on‑site visits.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative staff.
