Driver's Education Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Driver's Education Instructor delivers classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training to help students become safe, responsible drivers. This part‑time position serves all campuses of the Technical College System of Georgia, teaching state‑approved curriculum and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach driver‑education classroom courses using state‑approved materials that satisfy Joshua’s Law.
• Provide one‑on‑one behind‑the‑wheel instruction in an approved driver‑education vehicle.
• Instruct students on vehicle operation, defensive driving, traffic laws, and safe driving practices.
• Maintain accurate student performance records and required documentation.
• Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint for communication and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a safe and professional learning environment.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s preferred).
• At least seven years of work experience.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of ten years (fifteen years preferred).
• Clear Motor Vehicle Report and ability to pass DOT physical, drug testing, and state‑approved instructor qualification course.
• Strong commitment to student safety and welfare.
