Driver's Education Instructor (Part-time)

About the role

Columbus Technical College is seeking a part‑time Driver’s Education Instructor to deliver classroom and behind‑the‑wheel training in accordance with Joshua’s Law and Georgia Department of Driver Services guidelines. The instructor will help students develop the knowledge and practical skills required to obtain a Class C driver’s license.

Key responsibilities

• Assess students’ driving knowledge, skills and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver curriculum for classroom sessions, driving‑range practice and on‑road training.
• Manage classroom resources, equipment and space reservations while complying with grant and program requirements.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by supervising student behavior during all instructional activities.
• Prepare and record grades, attendance, and pass/fail reports, and submit required documentation.
• Participate in trainings, meetings and seminars to stay current with state regulations and instructional best practices.
