Driver's Education Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Ogeechee Technical College, is seeking a qualified Driver's Education Instructor to deliver continuing‑education driving instruction to students in Statesboro. This role focuses on preparing learners to meet the standards required by the Department of Driver Services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom and behind‑the‑wheel instruction for driver‑education courses.
• Evaluate student progress and readiness for the state driving skills test.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation, administrative reports, and certification records.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed at all times.
• Maintain program certification requirements as applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 25 years.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a driver‑instructor written exam, doctor‑approved physical examination, drug screening, background check, and driving‑record check.
• All assessment expenses are covered by Ogeechee Technical College.

Required skills

• Experience with driving instruction.
