About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Driver Yard Person to join its New Carlisle, IN service center. This full‑time yard jockey combo role involves loading and unloading trailers, hostling trailers within the yard, and supporting daily logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Unload and load trailers at the New Carlisle service center.
- Hostler trailers within the yard.
- Read and verify shipping manifests.
- Operate a forklift in a fast‑paced LTL environment.
- Use computer displays to track yard activity.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Experience with yard hostling in a fast‑paced setting preferred.
- Comfort with reading manifests and interacting with computer systems.
Required skills
- Forklift operation
What we offer
- Starting pay of $26.96 per hour.
- Full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday, 3 PM‑1 AM.
