Driver / Warehouse Associate (HVAC Freight)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our fast‑paced HVAC distribution team in Baton Rouge. You will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering HVAC equipment while maintaining accurate inventory in our warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload HVAC freight and materials daily.
• Deliver products to customers and vendors using a 22 ft box or stake‑bed truck.
• Receive, inspect, and stock merchandise; verify orders for accuracy.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Collect signed invoices and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
• Perform daily truck and forklift maintenance checks and report any issues.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory control.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE use.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years recent driving experience with a 22 ft box or stake‑bed truck.
• Clean driving record for the past 3 years (no suspensions, DUI, or more than one moving violation per year).
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Operation of a 22 ft box or stake‑bed truck.
• Forklift operation.
• Knowledge of LTL and full‑truckload logistics.
• Basic understanding of HVAC freight handling.
