Driver – Transportation for Senior Living Residents

About the role

Atria Senior Living is seeking a reliable Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and support community activities. The role involves operating buses, limousines, and other vehicles while ensuring vehicle upkeep and resident safety.

Key responsibilities

• Transport residents to social events, appointments, and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents in entering and exiting vehicles, securing wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
• Perform routine vehicle cleaning, fueling, and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs; keep accurate maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and personal items to resident apartments.
• Support the Engage Life and Maintenance Directors with transportation needs and program activities.
• Submit daily travel expense charges to the business office.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Five or more years of professional driving experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Ability to operate 7‑16 passenger buses, limousines, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of vehicle preventative‑maintenance programs and basic on‑road repairs.
• Familiarity with streets within an 8‑mile radius of the community.
• Compliance with Atria’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy.
