Driver – Community Meals Delivery

About the role

Join the Trio-Community-Meals team in Lafayette, LA as a Driver responsible for delivering a variety of goods to multiple locations each day. You will ensure safe, timely transport while adhering to all DOT, state, and local traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from assigned destinations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch, reporting any issues or delays promptly.

Required profile

• Valid state driver’s license for commercial vehicles and/or a medical card from an approved DOT medical examiner.
• Acceptable driving record and strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• At least one year of commercial driving experience (preferred).

Required skills

• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent state license.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Medical certification from an approved DOT examiner.
