About the role

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a courteous Doorman to welcome guests at one of its U.S. properties. The role focuses on delivering a warm first impression, assisting guests with entry and exit, and providing reliable information about the hotel and local area.

Key responsibilities

• Open doors for guests entering and leaving the hotel.
• Greet every guest with a smile and use their last name when appropriate.
• Provide accurate directions to local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
• Assist guests with transportation using approved taxi or limousine services.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the guest services area.
• Collaborate with the Security Department to uphold safety protocols.
• Support other hotel areas as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Friendly, customer‑focused attitude with strong hospitality values.
• Ability to stay composed and accurate under pressure.
• Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, and nearby attractions.
• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or similar guest‑service role preferred.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal communication and active listening.
• Strong knowledge of local points of interest and transportation options.
• Basic understanding of safety and security procedures.
