DoD SkillBridge Quality Inspector – Flightline Avionics

About the role
Airbus is seeking a Flightline Quality Avionic Inspector to join its Mobile, AL manufacturing facility through the DoD SkillBridge program. This 180‑day position supports the final quality verification of A320 family aircraft before delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute and verify quality activities during the flightline phase, from the FOT milestone to final delivery.
- Release aircraft for ground and flight operations, including engine run‑up inspections and pre/post‑flight checks.
- Validate aircraft system integrity, conformity with design specifications, and compliance with Ground Test Instructions (GTI).
- Perform inspections under EASA Part 21G and FAA 14 CFR Part 145 regulations.
Required profile
- Active‑duty service member within 180 days of separation, with written commander authorization (O‑4 or above).
- Current work authorization for U.S. positions.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Required skills
- Avionics inspection techniques.
- Knowledge of EASA Part 21G regulations.
- Knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 145 regulations.
- Experience with engine run‑up and pre/post‑flight checks.
- Familiarity with Ground Test Instructions (GTI) and aircraft system integrity verification.
