Document Control Specialist

About the role

Applied Business Communications (ABcom), a national low-voltage, BICSI-certified commercial cabling contractor, is hiring a Document Control Specialist (called a Low Voltage Document Analyst) in Phoenix. The role covers creating, reviewing, tracking and managing all documentation for construction projects, working closely with project managers, field teams and clients so that documents meet contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and track project submittals, RFIs and transmittals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date document logs and control systems
• Help compile closeout documentation, including O&Ms and as-builts
• Ensure documents meet client, code and internal quality standards
• Coordinate with vendors, engineers and internal departments on technical data
• Support compliance and audit readiness with well-organized records

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a construction or engineering environment (low-voltage preferred)
• Familiarity with construction documentation processes such as submittals, RFIs and as-builts
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Procore or Bluebeam is a plus
