Division Controller – West Techs

About the role

The Division Controller will serve as the financial anchor for West Techs' Dallas division, reporting directly to the Executive Controller/CFO. This on‑site leadership position supports a service, project, and maintenance‑driven business with multiple cost centers and intensive job costing.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the executive office to deliver accurate divisional financial results and align with company‑wide fiscal goals.
• Direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing clear insights into performance.
• Lead and mentor two direct reports, fostering professional development within the accounting team.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, emphasizing real‑time job costing, labor efficiency tracking, margin analysis, and management of AP, AR, payroll, and the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
• Design and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to protect assets and streamline workflows.
• Serve as primary contact for annual audits and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
• Collaborate with the Division President, sales, and operations to drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Own or support ERP workflow enhancements and related process improvements.
