About the role
The District Service Quality Manager acts as Subaru of America's field representative for service and quality across Montana and Alaska. The role involves frequent travel to retailer locations to monitor product quality, support difficult diagnoses, and drive technical training for retailer staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead root‑cause investigations and prepare detailed quality reports for engineering and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate Quick Response Activities with North American Subaru, Inc., managing resources and directing investigations at retailer sites.
- Utilize data analytics to identify and report quality trends, supporting escalation when needed.
- Provide expert technical assistance to retailers both on‑site and remotely, addressing complex vehicle issues.
- Review high‑value warranty pre‑authorizations and make cost‑effective, quality‑focused decisions.
- Train retailer personnel on diagnostic and repair procedures, improving investigative skills.
- Advise retailers on customer handling, Lemon Law risk mitigation, and uniform business practices.
- Represent Subaru of America in arbitrations, court cases, and negotiations with counsel.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in automotive service quality, field investigations, and warranty claim evaluation.
- Comfortable acting as a spokesperson or witness in contested Lemon Law or warranty matters; litigation experience is a plus.
- Strong judgment, technical knowledge, and ability to travel regularly across a large geographic area.
- Excellent communication skills for training and customer‑facing interactions.
