District Manager, Immunology Gastroenterology – New England

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a District Manager for Immunology Gastroenterology covering New England (Central and Western Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine). The role drives district strategy, talent development, and cross‑functional partnership to advance immunology and gastroenterology therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate enterprise and regional direction into district strategy with clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and disciplined execution rhythms.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team through hiring, performance management, and development planning.
• Provide advanced coaching to strengthen selling effectiveness, clinical execution, and business acumen.
• Drive demand generation and care transitions across outpatient and inpatient settings, aligning with local system dynamics.
• Build relationships with key customers and stakeholders and strengthen cross‑functional partnerships.
• Anticipate market dynamics using internal and external data to adjust strategy and protect or grow performance.
• Influence internal partners across Sales leadership, Institutional Business Group, Medical Affairs, and Marketing by providing field insights.
• Reinforce a culture of accountability, inclusion, and team health while supporting the team through change.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (MS/MBA/PhD preferred); valid US driver’s license.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare sales/commercial roles.
• Minimum 2 years of direct sales management experience with strong performance management and development planning.
• Ability to travel up to 50% (including overnight and weekend travel) and reside in or relocate to the geography.
• Experience in cross‑functional collaboration, coaching, developing others, strategic thinking, and data‑driven decision making.
