Distribution Supervisor - 3rd Shift

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Supervisor for its 3rd shift at a distribution center. The supervisor oversees several departments, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment, and guides warehouse associates toward safe, productive and high-quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the productivity of warehouse associates and balance their workload so production and delivery goals are met.
• Provide training, tools and equipment so tasks are done safely and efficiently.
• Keep all warehousing functions running smoothly and act as the point of contact for escalated issues.
• Identify process improvements and evaluate the center's efficiency and inventory management.
• Ensure work follows company policies and procedures, and that work areas stay clean.
• Complete paperwork and productivity reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BS/BA).
• 5+ years of experience in a distribution center; 2+ years in a lead or mentorship role.
• Ability to lead a group or team of support, craft or lower-level professional associates.
• Physical demands include intermittent periods of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering heavy or awkward material; occasional overnight travel under 10% of the time.
