Dispatcher – Logistics Lead

About the role

Certified Group is seeking a Dispatcher/Logistics Lead to coordinate the movement of goods across the United States. The role involves scheduling drivers, monitoring shipments, and ensuring timely delivery while complying with safety and regulatory standards. The dispatcher works closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve issues and optimise routes.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate proactively with drivers and customers about delays or issues.
• Coordinate loading and unloading schedules with warehouse staff and manage inventory availability.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment details in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Resolve logistical problems such as route changes, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards throughout transportation.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve logistics processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a fast‑paced environment, dispatching, or transportation coordination.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and advanced routing software.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Ability to operate mapping software and perform computer data entry.
