Dispatch Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Service Representative to serve as the central hub between our office and field technicians at Fix & Flow, a family‑owned plumbing service in Atlanta. The role involves matching the right technician to each service call, ensuring efficient job allocation and excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the skills, strengths, and weaknesses of field technicians and dispatch work orders accordingly.
• Provide all necessary information to technicians to ensure a quality customer experience.
• Contact customers prior to dispatch to confirm their presence via phone or email.
• Answer the phone professionally as backup to the Customer Service Representative.
• Be familiar with company products and services to answer questions without consulting others.
• Communicate clearly, precisely, and in a friendly manner.
• Record and report service calls.
• Update customers throughout the day on the technician’s progress.
• Follow up on all work orders with technicians and customers to ensure proper handling and completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior dispatch experience preferred.
• Strong record‑keeping, organization, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer and software savvy.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in stressful situations.
• Basic plumbing knowledge preferred.
• Self‑starter, motivated, and desire to learn.
