Dishwasher - PNC Field

About the role

A seasonal, part-time Dishwasher position at PNC Field, the home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, a 10,000-seat professional baseball stadium with concession areas and event spaces. The role reports to the Executive Chef within the Concessions-Culinary department and is paid hourly (non-exempt).

Key responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, sanitize and properly store china, flatware, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment according to venue standards and health department regulations.
• Collect dirty small wares from scullery points and return them to the dish area; organize clean small wares and keep storage areas tidy.
• Clean and organize food prep areas daily and sweep and mop floors to prevent slips.
• Help Front of House during busy events, set up breakdown stations, and organize plates, lids, hot boxes and tables for plate-up and plating.
• Transport loaded hot boxes to pass-out stations and provide busing and cleanup support for Food & Beverage services.
• Dispose of trash, including hosing out garbage cans, and meet uniform and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred.
• Basic food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to take direction and work well in a team, and to stay calm under pressure.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
• Physical demands include long periods on your feet, moving up to 50 pounds and heavy carts, and working late hours, weekends and holidays.
