Director, Study Data Services (Hybrid)

About the role

The Director, Study Data Services leads programming and reporting strategy across therapeutic areas, ensuring scalable, audit‑ready and regulatory‑compliant outcomes for complex studies. This senior role drives automation, emerging technologies and high‑performing teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute long‑term programming and reporting strategy for data integration, automation and analytics across therapeutic areas.
• Manage service‑provider partnerships, ensuring enterprise process adherence, audit readiness and quality benchmarks.
• Oversee delivery of programming and reporting for multiple highly complex studies, guaranteeing accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Champion automation, metadata‑driven development and emerging technologies (AI/ML, advanced analytics, data virtualization) to improve productivity and data integrity.
• Lead people management activities: set clear objectives, conduct regular check‑ins, develop career plans, recruit, and manage on‑shore/off‑shore and contingent resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering or related clinical operations functions.
• Minimum 3 years of people‑management experience.
• Deep subject‑matter expertise in clinical development and end‑to‑end data management governance.
• Proven ability to lead large, geographically distributed teams and manage outsourced programming operations.
