Director, Strategic Finance - Corporate FP&A

About the role

Cerebras Systems, which builds the world's largest AI chip, is newly public and scaling rapidly. It is looking for a Director of Strategic Finance to build the corporate FP&A operating system: long-range and annual planning, forecasting, executive reporting, guidance support and SG&A business partnering. The role reports to the Head of FP&A and sits on a flat, high-standards team.

Key responsibilities

• Own corporate FP&A: company model, long-range and annual planning, monthly and revenue forecasting, G&A budgeting, headcount and spend management, Board and public-company reporting.
• Build FP&A infrastructure, KPIs, scorecards, dashboards and reporting that delivers investor-grade information to the right partners at the right time.
• Serve as the primary finance partner to G&A leadership on budgeting, headcount planning, spend management and strategic investments.
• Partner with Sales and Product on the revenue forecast and guidance support.
• Prepare financial reporting and commentary for executive leadership, the Board and investors.
• Analyse capital allocation and drive improvements in financial systems, AI-enabled workflows and data quality.
• Set up forecasting cadences, metric definitions, reconciliation paths and accountability loops, and use automation and AI to multiply output.

Required profile

• 15+ years of total experience, ideally in corporate FP&A, strategic finance or adjacent roles; open to Directors and VP-level leaders.
• FP&A leadership experience, preferably in a public or newly public company, or training from a rigorous analytical setting.
• Strong financial modelling, G&A partnership, player-coach leadership and ability to work in ambiguity.
• Clear executive communication and strong agency.

Required skills

• Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and Python (preferred)
• Planning, ERP and BI tools such as NetSuite, Oracle or Looker (preferred)
• Performance management, scorecards and dashboarding

The position is in person at Cerebras headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
