Director, Real Estate - Conventional Owned Assets

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Director of Real Estate Operations to lead a portfolio of conventional owned assets. Reporting to a senior operations leader, you will translate corporate strategy into measurable results, drive asset performance, and ensure a superior resident experience across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution and financial performance of the assigned asset portfolio.
• Lead, coach, and hold Regional Property Managers accountable for site visits, inspections, and compliance with Greystar standards.
• Monitor and act on key performance indicators such as delinquency, turnover, and make‑ready cycles.
• Prioritize and conduct high‑impact site visits based on risk and performance gaps.
• Maintain transparent communication with senior leadership on client needs, decisions, and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal leaders to ensure operational consistency, financial integrity, and alignment with company values.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in real‑estate operations or property management, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and team leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assets and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
