Director, Product Development – Dispute Lifecycle

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the Dispute Lifecycle team. In this senior position you will shape the vision for dispute resolution, drive innovative solutions and ensure they align with global business priorities and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the strategic direction for the Dispute Lifecycle program.
• Oversee design and delivery of next‑generation dispute resolution tools using advanced analytics and emerging technologies.
• Own and prioritize a transparent, data‑driven backlog, balancing business value, customer impact and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering and cross‑functional teams to deliver core features through agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with product areas such as Commercial Product, Send, Payment Networks and DRM to integrate dispute capabilities.
• Champion customer‑centric solutions that enhance trust, transparency and efficiency across the payment ecosystem.
• Develop and present business cases with financial and risk assessments.
• Implement backlog governance frameworks (e.g., WSJF, cost‑benefit analysis) to align roadmap with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in product development, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into strategic decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across large, matrixed organizations.
• Deep understanding of agile product development processes and business case creation.
