Director, Parking & Transportation

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a senior leader to direct its comprehensive parking and transportation program on the Coral Gables campus. The Director will provide strategic, administrative, financial and operational leadership to ensure safe, efficient and customer‑focused mobility for students, staff, faculty and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all parking and mobility systems, infrastructure and technology, including emerging solutions such as LPR/ALPR and mobile enforcement.
• Manage financial integrity through revenue collection, cash handling, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Lead staff recruitment, development, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Resolve complex parking, transportation, access and customer service issues using data‑driven analysis.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term parking, transportation and mobility plans aligned with university growth.
• Serve as primary liaison for parking, transportation and mobility matters across university committees and external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in parking, transportation or mobility management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven ability to align departmental goals with enterprise‑wide strategy and drive transformational change.
• Strong financial management and resource allocation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence capabilities.
