About the role
The Director of the Collaborative Fund is a senior leader within Ipas, responsible for shaping and overseeing the organization’s grantmaking strategy in line with feminist, decolonial, and human‑rights values. This remote position works with global and regional teams to ensure grantmaking activities are effective, compliant, and aligned with donor intent.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for Ipas’s grantmaking program, ensuring legal, donor, and organizational compliance.
- Design and manage grantmaking approaches that prioritize local leadership, trust, learning, and shared accountability.
- Lead due‑diligence, risk management, compliance, reporting, and workflow systems for country nodes, grantees, and advisory bodies.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and functional teams to apply consistent grantmaking policies while enabling local decision‑making.
- Support the Collaborative Fund Advisory Committee and other donor‑specific steering bodies.
- Fundraise for the Collaborative Fund to expand resources for partners and strengthen the fund’s infrastructure.
Required profile
- Deep commitment to feminist, decolonial, and human‑rights principles.
- Proven experience in leading grantmaking, philanthropy, or related finance functions at a senior level.
- Strong ability to work across diverse cultural contexts and remote teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and advisory skills.
