Director of Supply Chain

About the role

The Director of Supply Chain will lead Violet Foods’ integrated supply chain strategy, overseeing demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, S&OP, production planning and strategic procurement. Reporting to the President/CEO, this senior leader will ensure alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, supplier capabilities and inventory investment while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end planning processes, including demand, supply and production planning, and own inventory management across internal manufacturing and co‑manufacturing partners.
• Develop and execute rolling demand forecasts, supply plans, production schedules and inventory strategies that balance service levels, capacity and working capital.
• Facilitate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service and Manufacturing.
• Design inventory strategies to optimize service while minimizing excess, obsolescence and working‑capital investment, monitoring safety stock, inventory aging and lot‑code management.
• Coordinate production priorities with manufacturing facilities, co‑manufacturers, warehouses and logistics partners to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end supply chain functions in a manufacturing or food‑production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to align cross‑functional teams around demand, supply and inventory objectives.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of improving forecast accuracy and working‑capital performance.
• Leadership experience managing both internal operations and external partners such as co‑manufacturers and logistics providers.
